Zagreb September 2025 — We are pleased to announce Portrait of Nature a joint exhibition of works by South Korean painter Ji Suk Baek and Armenian ceramic artist Alina Gishyan on view at the Gallery of Special Police in Zagreb from October 3 to 17 2025.
Bringing together painting and ceramics the exhibition offers two distinct yet complementary perspectives on nature as a source of inspiration contemplation and cultural memory. Through lyrical landscapes meditative depictions of forests and symbolic ceramic forms Portrait of Nature explores how nature becomes both a universal language and a personal dialogue.
Ji Suk Baek based in Croatia for nearly three decades blends Eastern sensibility with European expression in poetic depictions of the natural world. Her works evoke stillness resilience and spiritual depth.
Alina Gishyan continuing her Armenian family tradition of ceramic artistry merges ancestral techniques with contemporary forms. Her work embodies cultural storytelling and innovation bridging Armenian heritage with Croatian influence.
Portrait of Nature is both a meeting of artistic languages and a shared reflection on humanity’s enduring relationship with the environment.
